Synopsis News and Screenings

THE SUBTEXT OF ANGER is an essay in film that explores the emotion, expression and root causes that drive us to anger.

Renowned experts in Psychology, Sociology and Neurology analyze the cause and impact of anger, essentially intertwined in these hurried times of strife and disquiet. They share screen time with the film’s subjects (whose identities are often concealed) as they revisit their battles with rage, resentment, and the underlying wounds that feed the emotion.

THE SUBTEXT OF ANGER does not prescribe a single solution. Instead, it focuses on the long-term impact of chronic stress on the brain and body, and on how the individual can mitigate disaster by developing coping mechanisms, to lead healthier, more meaningful lives.
